BARBOUR COUNTY SCHOOLS TO BEGIN STRATEGIC PLANNING PROCESS
As part of its commitment to continuous improvement, Barbour County Schools (BCS) is initiating a strategic planning process to guide the district’s direction over the next five years. This plan will serve as a roadmap for ensuring student success while staying aligned with the district’s core mission and vision.
Later this month, a steering committee composed of internal and external stakeholders—including students, educators, administrators, parents, and community partners—will convene to begin this critical work. The committee will assess district priorities and establish key goals focused on academic excellence, educator support, school safety, transportation, technology, and financial stewardship.
To encourage broader community involvement, BCS will soon launch an online survey to gather input from parents and other stakeholders. This survey will be available on the Barbour County Schools website this month, and families are strongly encouraged to participate to help shape the district’s future. Additionally, the survey will be shared on the official Barbour County Schools Facebook page to ensure accessibility and increased community engagement.
The strategic plan will serve as a framework for accountability and informed decision-making, ensuring that BCS remains dedicated to providing high-quality education and resources for all students and staff. Through this process, the district aims to build a stronger, more effective school system that prepares every student for future success.
